This is the first afternoon I’ve actually been a tad too warm in my office and had to open the windows! We’re off to a great start this summer with our 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course now full and about to begin this Wednesday. It’s going to be a great class and Laura tells me that most of the participants are experienced meditators. I myself will be participating, in keeping with my commitment to ongoing efforts to practice what I preach.
This Fall we’re lining up a fantastic line of offerings, including three all-new 4-week classes: “Living Meditation: Mindfulness in Everyday Life”, “Mindful Loving: Developing Strong Romantic Relationships”, and Laura’s very special holiday offering, “Dread to Joy: Self-compassion in the Holiday Season”. Take them all and you’ll have 12 weeks of well-rounded instruction in thriving and flourishing in this muddy-water-world in which we live. Laura will once again be offering the superb 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction class (MBSR), and, for the first time we will be offering a stand-alone Daylong Meditation retreat, which will provide a taste of all the elements of MBSR. In other developments we are working on our very own brand of mindfulness-based organizational consulting and are open to all suggestions and networking! We are very excited to begin offering what we are certain will be a much-needed and welcome new direction for mindfulness services in Portland. Stay tuned!
