Our latest round of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) class series, beginning in February: Participants will learn to practice multiple forms of mindfulness meditation. Past participants report greater energy and well-being, enhanced stability in the midst of difficult situations, increased clarity and creative thinking, as well as learning to access powerful resources for coping with stress and uncertainty. The effectiveness of MBSR has been empirically validated through many studies.MBSR consists of eight two-hour weekly sessions, as well as a one-day mindfulness retreat (March 10th). The course includes 4 guided meditation CDs which are used for home practice, as well as a practice manual. The cost is $350; advanced registration is $300. MBSR Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:30, starting February 1st. There is a free orientation session on January 25th at 6:30 to come see and experience what the class is all about.
